DUI Checkpoints Scheduled for Friday, August 15, 2025

Drivers across California, Massachusetts, and West Virginia should be aware that multiple DUI checkpoints are scheduled for Friday, August 15, 2025. Law enforcement agencies will be conducting sobriety checkpoints during evening and late-night hours to deter and detect impaired driving.

OVI Checkpoints in Ohio

Law enforcement has announced multiple OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired) checkpoints across Ohio this Friday, August 15, 2025. Drivers should be aware of the following scheduled checkpoints and plan travel accordingly.

Stark County – Nimishillen Township

Location: 5700 block of Louisville Street NE, Nimishillen Township
Time: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Belmont County – Bridgeport

Location: State Route 7 at Aetna Street, Belmont County
Time: 10:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Montgomery County – Dayton (Harshman Road)

Location: 2600 Block of Harshman Road, Dayton, OH 45424
Time: 6:45 PM – 11:45 PM

Montgomery County – Dayton (Woodman Drive)

Location: 600 Block of Woodman Drive, Riverside, OH 45431
Time: 6:45 PM – 11:45 PM

California DUI Checkpoints – August 15, 2025

Placer County – Rocklin

The Rocklin Police Department will hold a DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location within the city.
Time: 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Santa Barbara County – Goleta

The Goleta Police Department has scheduled a DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location in Goleta.
Time: 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Los Angeles County – Burbank

The Burbank Police Department will conduct a DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location within city limits.

Riverside County – Jurupa Valley

The Oxnard Police Department will hold a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint at an undisclosed location within the city.

The Stockton Police Department has planned a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint at an undisclosed location within city limits.

The Vacaville Police Department will conduct a checkpoint at an undisclosed location in Vacaville.

Orange County – Fountain Valley

A DUI and driver’s license checkpoint will be conducted near Warner Avenue and Brookhurst Street in Fountain Valley.
Time: 8:00 PM – 1:00 AM

San Mateo County – South San Francisco

Police will set up a checkpoint at an undisclosed location in South San Francisco.
Time: 8:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Tulare County – Porterville

The Porterville Police Department will conduct a DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location.

Kern County – Bakersfield

A DUI/driver’s license checkpoint is scheduled at an undisclosed location within Bakersfield city limits.

West Virginia DUI Checkpoint – August 15, 2025

Greenbrier County – White Sulphur Springs

A DUI checkpoint will be held in the 3800 block of Midland Trail East. Officers will also monitor for reckless driving, speeding, and seat belt violations. An alternate site is prepared at the intersection of Route 60 and Route 20 in Charmco.
